La invasión rusa
Preguntaba el amigo Julio hace unos días si habíamos escuchado una canción llamada “Russian invasion”. Aquí el que no corre vuela.
Sí conozco la canción. Y era una de las cosas que estaba esperando poner, más que nada porque por fin tengo una copia del texto. Un auténtico trabajo de chinos, realizado por alguien que, además de saber muy bien el idioma, tiene la paciencia suficiente para hacer este trabajo.
Os adelanto también que quedan muchísimas cosas por escuchar, pero comprenderéis que todavía sólo llevamos dos años, y queda mucho tiempo de blog. “Have patience Idren”, que cantaba Bunny.
“Russian invasion”, aunque su título más posible es “Show your dreads on”, es una de las canciones que Bob trabajó en el año 80. Acompañado por esa caja de ritmos que la une a otros pervios de la época, tipo “Slogans” o alguna otra de esas canciones que los coleccionistas tienen desde hace veinte años pero que Ziggy encuentra en casa tres lustros después (hay que ser más ordenado con tus cosas, niño).
La grabación dura más de una hora, aunque os he editado diez minutitos, los que se corresponden con el texto que adjunto. En muchos momentos, Bob está muy lejos de la grabadora y casi no se le escucha. No sé quién le acompaña.
Si alguien se anima a traducir el texto, lo agradecería.
